Study Abroad
Developing a Global Perspective is one of the four foundations of the Honors College, and to this end the College supports students who study abroad through assistance in applying for nationally competitive scholarships for study abroad trips and by offering a competitive Honors Study Abroad Scholarship.

The Honors College encourages all students to seek a study abroad experience. Honors students may apply for an Honors Study Abroad Scholarship to help offset the costs of studying abroad.
Honors Study Abroad Application
A completed form is the only document required for the application. We no longer require letters of recommendation. Please note: You must be logged in to MyGeorgiaSouthern to access and complete the form.
Deadlines
Spring semester study abroad: 5:00 pm on October 31.
Summer (A, B and Long), fall semester, and full academic year: 5:00 pm on March 1.
There is no need to apply earlier than these listed deadlines as all spring awards will be decided after the October 31 deadline and all summer, fall, and full academic year awards will be decided after the March 1 deadline.
